Sapropel, being a precious nature gift, is used in medicine by way of therapeutic muds, preparations and extractions. When applied to the skin it has multifunctional influence on the whole organism, but at the same time it has rather soft influence on the cardiovascular system.
Nowadays the preparations on the sapropel basis have proved excellent results by treating commissure-scar formations, pathological products of inflammation, and for enhancement of wound and burn surface recoveries.
